This page is devoted to TeamIBK’s ongoing weekly sessions.  We certainly aim to encourage others to join us and incorporate climbing into their routines.

To help us help you more, keeping a running headcount of those interested in joining us makes the most sense.

TOP ROPING – The mainstay of the gym.Reading Rocks has 32 Tope Ropes with 3 routes accessible from each rope on average.Additionally the Nicros “Custom Rock” walls offer climbing with wall features including crack and flake climbs, as well as with additional holds placed on the walls.

BOULDERING – A great way to work out and work on technique.  Reading Rocks has several different bouldering areas, including a 12 ft.  Top Out Boulder. The more advanced bouldering areas are always saturated with endless problems.  Some are downright insane!  There are also some beginner areas.  You can also always boulder in the main climbing area, where climbers often try to do laps around the gym.  A full one-way length goes about 150 feet!

LEAD CLIMBING – Lead walls are abundant at Reading Rocks, including a 3 way leadable arch!  For beginner lead climbers there are also 5.6 and 5.7 routes to practice on.  Our lead climbing training wall has cold shuts at the top, to practice finishing/cleaning.  Lead climbers must take Reading Rocks Lead Test before beginning to lead climb, and should be able to top-rope climb a 5.8.
